This is held in April each year. Everyone whose name is on the latest Electoral Roll may attend and vote in the election of representatives to the Parochial Church Council (PCC). Election of Deanery Synod representatives takes place every three years.
Annual report
The Annual Report is published in readiness for the Annual Parochial Church Meeting each year and includes a "Review of the Year" plus the required Financial Statements.
Band
The Band plays in church at the 11.00 am service usually on the third Sunday of each month. Band practice is held from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm on Saturday evenings. If you can play a musical instrument, whether you are young or old, then why not join?
Baptism anniversary card scheme
An anniversary card is sent to the parents of each child who has been baptized on each of the first four anniversaries of the child's baptism.
Bible Reading Fellowship
Two sets of Adult Bible Notes are published three times a year. Guidelines for those who have the time to study, and the simpler New Daylight, the latter being available also in large print, on cassette or even in Braille. There are undated notes for children. Some literature is displayed on the table near the north door.
Brownies
The 1st Parkstone Brownie Pack meets on Wednesday evenings from 6.15 pm to 7.45 pm for girls aged 7-11. See also Guides.
Car Rota Scheme
If you do not have your own transport and have difficulty getting to church on a Sunday, someone living nearby may be able to give you a lift on a regular basis.
Children's Society
The Children's Society is a Church of England charity caring for children in need and at risk. Ask for your collection box now. We hold a yearly Christingle Service after Christmas to raise funds for this.
Choir
The Choir sing at the 9.30 amand 6.30 pm services each Sunday. Choir practice is held on Fridays from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm. If you can sing, why not join?
Church contact scheme
This scheme involves contacts keeping an eye on homes for sale in their own and neighbouring roads and delivering an information pack on St. Clement's when the new occupants move in. Can you be a contact for your own or a nearby road?
Church Mission Society
CMS is a voluntary society of the Church of England committed to Christ's mission in approximately 27 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. We particularly support Rev.Joanna Udal, chaplain to Archbishop Joseph Marona of the Sudan.
Church neighbourhood and industry watch
This group meets once every three months to share local news and concerns.
Church office
General enquiries and requests for baptisms, weddings etc. can be addressed at the Church Office in the hall on weekday mornings from 10am to 12 noon (telephone 01202 733390).
Church Youth Group: “ENGAGE”
The youth group is open to children aged 10 and above who regularly attend church and/or live in the parish. Activities include badminton, discos, quizzes, snooker, treasure hunts etc. The youth group meets in the Church Hall from 7.00 pmto 9.30 pm on Friday evenings during school terms. Additional helpers are always welcome.
Confirmation Classes
If you are aged 13 to 99 and have not been confirmed, then why not put your name down for the next series of confirmation classes?
Crèche
There is a play area in the north aisle. If you have a very young child or baby, there is a crèche room at the back of the church under the balcony. On the fourth Sunday each month there is a storytime for children aged 3 to 7 during part of the 11.00 am service.
Deanery Synod
The Deanery Synod meet on average four times a year. St. Clement's is able to send four representatives who are elected at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting every third year. The current representatives are listed on the PCC noticeboard in the porch.
Electoral Roll
Being on the Electoral Roll entitles you to attend the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, to vote, and even stand, in the election of PCC and Deanery Synod representatives.Anyone aged 16 or over who has been baptisedand is resident in the parish (or, if not resident in the parish, has attended St Clement's regularly for at least 6 months) may apply to have their name added. See the PCC noticeboard in the porch for application forms and the latest published Roll.
Elizabeth House & Aldbury House
Elizabeth House and Aldbury House are old people's homesnext to AlderneyHospital. The services on the first three Sundays of each month are led by a team from St. Clement's. Holy Communion is also taken in once a month. Would you like to help?
Envelope scheme
If you attend St. Clement's regularly, ask for a set of envelopes into which you can place your weekly offerings. See also Gift Aid.
Flower Rota
We have a rota on which people put their names when they wish to place flowers in the stand in the chancel, often to commemorate a special anniversary. The rota is on the main noticeboard in the porch - write your name against the date of your choice. If you lack confidence to arrange the flowers yourself, then why not ask for assistance.
Friends of the Churchyard
The Friends of the Churchyard raise money towards the cost of maintenance of the churchyard. Would you like to contribute to this much needed work?
Gift Aid
If you are a tax payer then please consider signing a Gift Aid form for your weekly offerings or one-off donations so that St. Clement's can claim back the tax you have paid on that part of your income. For example, if you give £5 a week, HM Revenue & Customs will add over £70 to the amount you give over the course of the year. Those paid monthly can even opt to pay by standing order.
Gift day
This is held each year on the Sunday nearest St. Clement's Day (23 November). Special envelopes are provided in the pews and through the envelope scheme.
Guides
The 1st Parkstone Guide Company is for girls aged 11 to 16. Meetings are held on Wednesday evenings in the Church Hall from 7.45 pm to 9.15 pm.
Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival is normally held at the beginning of October. The children present gifts at the 11.00 am Family Service which are then distributed by volunteers to needy people within the parish. A 'bring and share' supper normally takes place on the Friday evening beforehand. See the "Viewpoint" Magazine for details.
Help The Aged
St. Clement's has appointed a Church Friend of Help The Aged to provide a link between elderly members of the congregation and the literature and services offered by Help The Aged.
Home Groups
There are two home groups that meet for prayer and bible study, one meets weekly at 7.30 pm on Mondays and the other meets fortnightly at 10.30 am on Wednesdays.
JuniorChurch
On the first and second Sundays of each month, children aged 4 to 18 leave the 11.00 am Family Service after the first hymn and continue a service through a variety of forms in the Church Hall, including age-specific activities. Additional helpers are always welcome.
Keep Fit Class
Keep fit classes are held on Tuesday evenings in the Church Hall from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm for ladies of all ages - nothing too strenuous!
Ladies Focus Group
The Ladies Focus Group normally meets every other Wednesday evening from 8.00pm at a variety of homes to discuss key issues and topics that face us in our lives as Christians today, as well as for some informal bible study.
Lay Pastoral Assistants
These volunteers have completed a course of training and are licenced to help in various ways in the church, including pastoral visiting following baptisms and funerals.
Lending Library
A number of Christian books have been donated to St. Clement's for use by all members of the congregation. These are displayed in the alcove at the front of the north aisle extension. If you would like to borrow a book, simply sign your name in the register provided when you take the book and when you return it.
Magazine
St. Clement's publishes a magazine each month called 'Viewpoint'. The price is just 30p a copy or £3 for a full year subscription. Articles for inclusion should be submitted to the Editor by the third Sunday of the month.
Mendoza
Rev. Anthony Gregory, a former curate of this parish, and his wife Molly, run an international church in the city of Mendoza, Argentina, sponsored by USPG. They meet at present in their home and are seeking to acquire a more substantial and premanent base for the church.
Mid-Africa Ministry
This is affiliated to the Church Mission Society and works in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
Mothers' Union and Women's Fellowship
Mothers' Union
The Mothers' Union normally meets on the first Tuesday of the month (except August) at 2.30 pm in the Church Hall. A full programme of speakers adds interest to a happy friendly afternoon of Christian fellowship, followed by a cup of tea enjoyed together.
Women's Fellowship
The Women's Fellowship meets on a Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 pm in the Church Hall when there is no Mothers' Union meeting (except in August). We enjoy a time of fellowship, listen to a guest speaker and finish off with a cup of tea! All are welcome.

Parish Registers
Most of our parish registers have been deposited with the Dorset Record Office for safekeeping. These include: Baptisms (1838-1981), Banns (1896-1992), Marriages (1894-1995), Burials (1896-1992) plus Baptisms at St. Barnabus (1958-1990).
Parochial Church Council
The Parochial Church Council meets on Tuesday evenings approximately five or six times a year to discuss church business. Each year five representatives from the congregation retire and elections take place at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. The names of the representatives are listed on the PCC noticeboard.

Rainbows
The Rainbow Group is open to girls aged 5 to 7. At their meetings which are held on Wednesday afternoons at the Church Hall from 4.15 pm to 5.15 pm, the Rainbows enjoy playing games, listening to stories and making things.
Sarum Link
This is a free monthly newspaper from the Diocese of Salisbury. Copies are available from the table by the main south door.
Scripture Union
Among other things. the Scripture Union publishes a range of helpful daily Bible Study Notes, for example, Daily Bread and Daily Notes.
Sidesmen
The Sidesmen are responsible for welcoming everyone to the Sunday Services and handing out books, taking the collection etc. If you are on the Electoral Roll of the church, have you thought about offering your services as a Sidesman?
South American Mission Society
This society proclaims the good news of Jesus to the people of Latin America.
St. Clement's Pre-School
This independent charity based community pre-school is open to children from 2 years 9 months old and meets from Monday to Friday in the Church Hall from 9.30 am to 12.00noon. This is extended to 3pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays .The pre-school is run by a team of qualified staff and several volunteers.

St. Clement's support the work of TEAR Fund (The Evangelical Alliance Relief Fund). A collection plate is placed in church on the third Sunday of each month to raise money for TEAR Fund's work around the world.
